Re: 24 channel interface needed
A few UK shops may still have the 24AO in stock (according to the web). You might consider using devices with ADAT connections (whereby the "main unit" has some direct analogue outputs and sends "grouped" outputs on an ADAT channel to a second device which "decodes" the grouping and outputs on ...

Re: How to configure HW9 for reverb in rear speakers
A little while ago I wrote a guide to using the simple audio facility in Hauptwerk IX.
https://iainstinson.com/hauptwerk/hw9-s ... torial.pdf
It includes details on adding convolution reverb to a sample set.
You may find it useful.

Re: New Sample Set - St. Mary the Virgin, Ross-on-Wye
Thank you for this sample set. I've downloaded the demo version and tried it out. The download was fairly fast and the installation straight forward (on HW IX). There is a helpful manual. I used one of my standard audio setups, and assigned the close and front samples to the front audio group and ...

Re: USB's not being recognised
Check that you have disabled usb power saving options in Windows. Consider installing a multi usb interface card in your pc. If you do, connect any additional power connectors it may have so that it has sufficient power to drive all of its ports. I used to have problems with usb connections using a ...

Re: Sforzando (or tutti) on instruments that don't have one
You can use the Master crescendo pedal for any instrument. Master Reversible pistons can provide tutti functionality. It is worth noting that neither of these functions turn off stops that they didn’t turn on, allowing the registration before they are used and any stops added manually to be restored ...

Re: Adding General Presets to Salisbury
You could use Hauptwerk’s Master Generals (pg 101 of the version 9 user manual). The Master pistons are available for all sample sets and are additional to any included within the sample set itself. You’ll find these on the Touch Menu Registration Tab and some of them duplicated on the overview tab. U ...

Re: Two things about HW v.9.
When I’m playing the organ (rather than configuring or adjusting the settings), I really appreciate having all the space on my touch screens available for the virtual instrument I’m using: this is a real benefit (in my opinion) of version IX. I have a piston on the console which toggles the Touch Men ...

Re: "Could not reset MIDI IN port 'micro lite: Port 1 I-1'
I would start by checking all of the midi using a tool such as MidiMedic. The message you received would suggest that the Microlite can't be accessed from the computer. I have a microlite which occasionally won't respond - in my simpler environment I've found a power cycle helps.

David, The download link is at the bottom of the "more information" page (link) in the first post. Here is the download url https://kdrive.infomaniak.com/app/share/669203/c4998144-e7df-48cb-ab2a-0fae21eb1c9d You need to download both of the files into the same folder and tell HW to install the first ...

Re: Accelerometer as Tilt Sensor for Expression Pedals
On an organ association visit to Liverpool Anglican Cathedral to see, hear and play the organ, I came across the Willis ‘infinite speed and gradation’ system which is used to control the expression boxes for all the enclosed divisions, including the Echo division installed last year. They offer a dif ...

Also… If you want to copy combs20 to combs21, combs19 to combs20 and so on, you could use CLONE FROM (page 81 of the HW ix manual) Open the Registration Tab. (Touch Menu | Registration). Load combs21 (even if it is empty), Press CLONE FROM A dropdown list of combs files will appear select combs20 f ...

Hello.
Have you carried out some Windows optimisation for audio? In particular, have to disabled the SYSMAIN service?
Is anything else running?

Re: Missing the dropdown menus
Touch screen - long touch. On Windows 11, outside Hauptwerk if you touch and hold an item for a "long" time, when you release the item the mouse right click dropdown menu appears. You can then select some action for the right click menu by touching it. Note that nothing happens until you stop ...
