Re: Sample sets don't produce much volume

I had an AG3200 built in the 1990s, and tried using its internal speakers with Aux Inputs from Hauptwerk, a Viscount CM100, and Ahlborn Archive modules at various times. The Aux In on the AG never came up to the volume that an external speaker system, even with a lower powered amp, produced from the ...

Re: New activation code

If you're moving your HW8 iLok license between the two machines, you don't need an activation code. If you have an iLok USB key, make sure the second computer recognizes it in the device list. If you're on iLok Cloud, log out on the first computer and log into iLok on the second. In either case, use ...

Re: 24 channel interface needed

I have 30 audio channels in use. The 24Ao was pretty much perfect, with no inputs to increase the price. I have a 24Ao extended by 2 ADATs to an RME UFX. The only difficulty with the ADAT expansion is that each ADAT changes from 8 to 4 channels when I go from 48k to 96k, so I plan routes to avoid ...

Re: HW upgrade from PC V4 to Mac V9

Start with General settings to see what needs to change. Mac will not have the same device names as Windows, so that's something you can't expect to restore from the backup of your PC's HW4 settings. MIDI Input ports (and output ports if your console has lighted stop tabs/drawknobs/pistons for HW to ...

Re: Goch sample set opinions please…

If you start with the idea that Goch is conceived as a modern imitation of a Cavaille-Coll (implied by the notes on the product page), it can't really stand up to Caen, Metz, Oloron, and St. Omer. But heard as a modern instrument without assumptions, Goch has a lot to recommend it! You should listen ...

Re: Why can’t I see the youtubes on Contrebombarde?

Videos on contrebombarde still play when I click them. I don't log into CB or YouTube. Maybe you could try a different browser. I've tested it just now with the Firefox and DuckDuckGo browsers. At worst, I have to click the Play arrow twice to start the video. Note that contrebombarde does pop up ...

Thanks. I forget about simple audio routing because it doesn't fit my audio system.

Re: How to configure HW9 for reverb in rear speakers

In organ audio settings, in Rank Voicing, select all ranks except noises, and set their Perspective 2 output level to at least 50% on the master slider, and truncate releases on perspective 2 to the smallest number of milliseconds the master slider will reach. Then in Rank Routing, select the same ...

Re: Re-load a sample-set reducing the used RAM.

Thank you very much for the information. After backing up the original sample set installation, I started the new installation. Fortunately, the selection and configuration of each original rank appears on the screen, so I only had to deselect the 32´ ranks I didn't want to install to free up some ...

Re: Anche pedals

Right click on the Anches/Combinaison pedal, choose Adjust MIDI settings, and check (tick) the box for Switch Defaults to On. A few samplesets still cancel Anches with general cancel, only obeying the Switch Defaults to On setting when you load or restart the organ. But most of them work as you'd ...

Re: Sound glitches

The alt configs share the same installed sampleset files as main, so reinstalling seems like it wouldn't help, but it shouldn't hurt. You could use uninstall and reinstall to reset the sampleset's settings and start over with it.

Just to check, are you sure that's the audio meter going red with trim -24dB, and not the CPU meter?

Re: Sound glitches

Okay, I tested the 4 manual Caen extension, with all stops drawn but celestes and all the couplers on the simple ext 2 screen. Playing big chords fast: At -24dB trim, the audio meter hits 1 green bar. This is the lowest Audio Trim dB setting. At -16dB trim, the audio meter hits 1 green bar. This is ...

Re: Sound glitches

It's possible that's just the dynamic range of the 4 manual Caen extension. The original Caen sampleset already has a big range, so soft stops need to be rather too quiet to keep full organ out of the red on the audio meter. The extension doubles the size of Caen, and then you're adding ...
