Re: How to read and interpret clipboard current registration data
There's no native way to export the current states of all stops/switches to a text file, I'm afraid. You could conceivably configure all of the virtual switches individually to output MIDI on/off messages (e.g. NRPNs) and write an external application to receive them all and keep track of the ...

Re: How to read and interpret clipboard current registration data
Thanks for the quick answer, Martin. Too bad, I was hoping this idea could work. I did see the "List/View combinations..." option and already tried a few things with it. The problem there is that the user has to uncheck lots of options in a dialog, and even then the output is too much information ...

How to read and interpret clipboard current registration data
The menu item "Copy registration to clipboard" appears to be placing RAW data on the clipboard (the clipboard probe shows the string "The app cannot read the current registrations from Hauptwerk"). I'm working on an app which needs to read this data. Can you please tell me what the RAW Identifier ...

Re: HW 7 pistons, set, gen cancel
Thanks, those steps work. I'm just looking for master general buttons.
Now I've got the buttons, but MIDI detect isn't working. Obviously, this is a different problem. I'll see if I can sort it out.

Re: HW 7 pistons, set, gen cancel
Thanks Martin, I had tried all the options under "View / piston toolbars (for this organ)" and none of them are what I expect to see. On the first option there sre indeed "set" and "gen cancel" buttons, but the rest of the buttons are all something else which I don't need, and there is no set of 1 2 ...

HW 7 pistons, set, gen cancel
I had HW4 working fine with buttons onscreen in a sidebar numbered 1-10, a "set" button and "cancel" button (basically what one expects to find on an organ). After upgrading to HW7, this sidear disappeared, and I've never been able to get it back. Navigating the HW menus is a nightmare. There are ...

Re: Video: how to build an F to F keyboard for HW harpsichor
UPDATE: After playing this keyboard for while, I've determined that the action is slightly more stiff than the Yamaha NP-series, especially noticeable on the sharp/flat keys. The stiffness of the action is determined by the silicon plungers, so it can't be changed.

Re: Video: how to build an F to F keyboard for HW harpsichor
The feel of the Nektar SE61 key action is actually pretty comparable to the Yamaha NP-11/31 or NP12/32, light and solid-feeling, but not quite as good. Considering that the Nektar keyboard costs less than 1/3 those Yamaha keyboards, and is accordingly much more cheaply made, it's surprisingly good ...

Video: how to build an F to F keyboard for HW harpsichords
In case anyone is interested — I just posted this video showing how I converted a Nektar SE61 into an F-to-F controller to use with my Hauptwerk harpsichord from Sonus Paradisi (the Mietke instrument). https://youtu.be/M4CtmSF_u6M The first part of the video shows you how to rearrange the keys from C ...

Re: macOS update wiped out my Hauptwerk license
In the mean time, there has been an iLok Manager update, and another macOS update, and so far the problem has gone away.

Re: macOS update wiped out my Hauptwerk license
Fortunately, I have not faced this kind of annoying problem, but I know that on a Mac, many "upgrades" will just fail if you do not run a clean install... I've used Apple computers since the early 90's, and these claims and conjectures sound like nonsense to me. My Mac Studio was new in October '22 ...

Re: macOS update wiped out my Hauptwerk license
It's still happening about every other day. François, thanks and that may be true about the IP, but I doubt that's the cause. The problem never appeared before the macOS update. My guess is that the update changed something about process boot order during startup, but what do I know. Thanks Martin ...

Re: macOS update wiped out my Hauptwerk license
Yes, as I had confirmed already above, my iLok Manager is up to date (the version is 5.7.0) As I mentioned, I have no other software that uses the iLok Cloud, so I can't say if this problem only to do with Hauptwerk, but I do have other iLok licenses (none which require a dongle) and none of them ...

Re: macOS update wiped out my Hauptwerk license
Hi Martin, Yes, the problem is that the iLok cloud session randomly *doesn't open* when the system starts up. When I manually go into the manager and open the cloud session, then it works. I never had to do this before the MacOS update. I have no iLok dongle, and I use only one machine. Here's ...
