Patch for Vleugels sample set released

Post by ReinerS »

Dear all,
we have just made a patch available for the new Vleugels sample set. This update fixes the following issues:

- The sliders on the control page did not react when dragging them upwards from the bottom of the slider.
- Fixed two problematic samples (GO-Montre 8' g (055), GO-Prestant 4' d# (051))
- Most notable change: "Original Tuning" now only corrects samples that are significantly off pitch, so the organ is really sounding as recorded. This gives a much more natural sound than the random detuning feature, which is still needed when using tempered tunings in Hauptwerk.

For the past 3 hours I have been playing with the Vleugels 2 week free trial.
One initial reaction is that the bass of this sample is fantastic, perhaps the best I have heard.
What do mean by "bass"?
Mainly it is the beautiful balance of the organ.
The Great keyboard has a Montre 16 and a Bombarde 16. Without pedals this sounds magnificent for hymns with punch.
Then there are several pedals which are wonderfully balanced ... Soubasse 16, Contrabasse 16 with the Bombarde 16 and Contrabomabarde 32. By balance I mean they sound good where they should .... in the bottom octaves.

In my lounge room, with my setup, the neighbours say "Wow!"
