I've successfully installed 75 organs (plus demos), but this one has me stumped. After 10 days of thinking about, I turn to the forum for help.
This is my standard procedure.
1) Install the organ.
2) Load the organ (after changing all ranks from the default to 20-bit and deselecting noise "ranks").
3) Insure that the correct mixer preset is selected.
4) Route the ranks to my two groups (front/rear).
5) Auto-detect keyboards; test to be sure that the keys on the on-screen console move as I play.
6) Be sure the speakers are on and the audio output level is at the default.
7) Draw the stops included in the demo set.
Play. ... But no sound! (The MIDI: green light at the bottom right of the screen blinks correctly.)
What have I forgotten? Thanks.
I can't get sound from the Frankfurt Sauer demo

If there's a General Koppel switch on the Simple screen in the demo, have you tried turning it on? What does it do? I see that in the screen shots.
I don't have this demo, but there's often one switch you have to enable by default or turn on each time. Sometimes Kalkant or Blower.
And of course does your HW audio level meter indicate sound? Do mixer group and bus indicator lights go on when you play? (Unroute the blower noise to test that.) Does your audio interface show a sound level? Does increasing the Trim change anything.

Re: I can't get sound from the Frankfurt Sauer demo
Thanks, mnailor. It was the blower.
In the past it has been a dummy, unaffected by a mouse click.
This time, after it didn't respond, I clicked, by chance, on "Pedal matrix memory 1" and then clicked on "Blower" again. This second time, it lit up, and there's sound.
A third click did not turn the blower off--until after I had once again hit ped matrix memory 1.
Must be a bug--one that I can live with. Thanks again.
