New FREE sample set of a Verschueren organ

Post by Siegfred »

Again we would like to introduce you to our newest sampleset creation.
Last Octobre we recorded the 2 organs in the st. John the Baptist Basilica in Oosterhout (NL).

There is a very nice Maarschalkerweerd organ in this church which we hope to release in the future as well, however there is also a quite charming choir organ located near the altar.

The Verschueren choir organ of 1977

Due to the non-functioning of the main organ in the church, and the lack of restoration for the time being, it was decided in 1977 to have a choir organ built by the company Verschueren.
It is designed in classic southern style.
As choir or altar organ it is a modest instrument by Verschueren with a sophisticated disposition.
The Hoofdwerk is based on Principal 8 ft and has a shared Trumpet 8 ft, the 'Nevenwerk' has a Cornet décomposé.
In the seventies it was one of the innovative instruments of this organ builder.
A modest instrument with nice sound possibilities.

The acoustics are very warm and will go up to 7 seconds.
We recorded the instrument on 4 (!) different (stereo) channels, front, middle, rear and 'wall' so you can 'place' the sound and acoustics as you like it.

As a harbinger on the main organ and to give you the idea how that will sound in this very nice environment, we will offer you this sampleset for free!

It can be downloaded at: https://www.hauptwerk.nl/hauptwerk5en.php#Oosterhout

More info can be found at: https://www.hauptwerk.nl/verschuerenen.php

Some demos on https://www.hauptwerk.nl/mp3verschuerenen.php

We hope you will enjoy this little gift.

Keep in mind the files are placed on Google Drive which has a daily limit of unclear size. So you may sometimes get a notification like "Try again later". Our apologies for this.

Kind regards
The Sygsoft Team Netherlands

Hello Siegfred:,
thanks a lot for the sample set! I translated your text in the German Hauptwerk forum. I hope it's ok for you.

You wrote you've 4 Channels but I hink you mean four perspectices, that are 8 Channels, right?

Yes you are right. I have change my text to "4 stereo channels".

Translating in German: Selbstverständlich, Kostenlose Werbung ist immer gut

About the 4 stereo channals: This is only once, it is a lot of work. Even this small organ (without recorded tremulant) already contains 9140 samples!
