V and Catalina
V and Catalina
Many of you have asked about Hauptwerk V compatibility with OS X 'Catalina'. I am happy to let you know that it is supported and Hauptwerk installs and runs very well on this latest update to OS X. There is one caveat to run the installer as the upcoming release is not yet "notarized" by Apple. This would take much more time to get it done and approved and we wanted to release this latest update as a matter of priority. Thus when you download the installer simply right click on it to open the context menu and click Open, then it will install normally.

To add to Brett's reply,
Please also note that if you have Hauptwerk v4 installed and you have upgraded to macOS 10.15+ 'Catalina' (or if you might do so in the future), then it's very important that you uninstall Hauptwerk v4 completely BEFORE you install Hauptwerk v5+, then finally install v5+ using its (10.15-safe) default installation locations (or choose custom installation locations that are not on the Mac's internal drive).
Please see this topic, which covers it in depth: http://forum.hauptwerk.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17850
