HW8 I can't view large floating division control panel SOLVED

Post by Wayne Grauel »

1st all " small or floating division tool bars are not checked

HW in console view , or simple registration view, doesn't matter -

I'm Trying to open my large floating division tool bar so I can copy those settings to another organ,
every time i check to open it nothing happens - that drop down menu goes away and what ever "view" I have open reappears - no large control panel shows up What's with this?

fyi if I try the Registration control it panel shows up if I click that ( just testing )

FYI I just did a test and every large control floating control shows up when checked - EXCEPT floating division control panel...

Also... this is an organ that is already configured with my floating divisions, I was hoping to replicate that to another ( new) organ

Hello Wayne,

Do I understand correctly that you mean that, with the relevant organ loaded, from v8's main menu bar the "View | Large floating control panels (for this organ) | Floating divisions" menu option shows as being ticked, but you can't see the relevant large control panel on the screen?

If so, it's almost certainly open somewhere but positioned on a different computer screen, or off the edge of one. (The control panels remember the last positions in which they were opened.) Do you have more than one computer screen attached to the computer, and if so can you see the control panel (or part of it) on one of them?

Please see also this topic if needed: https://www.forum.hauptwerk.com/viewtop ... 48#p157948

I do not use multiple monitors -- I do mirror my main laptop screen to a monitor on the organ, but its not there and I retried with that monitor unplugged.

Martin, I just made my second monitor "extended" -- nothing there. I unchecked floating division control panel, then rechecked it and it appeared on the extended monitor,.

That's bizarre - I've never used it in extended mode - but Thank God you thought of that. ( i did try minimizing my HW console and moving it around b4) but at least I can go out of panic mode!

thanks for shedding light on that,.
